Virtual Incursion for Schools

Posted in October 2020

3 minutes read

Usually by this stage of term 3 our VIT registered outreach educators would be busy visiting schools all around Victoria and delivering our free incursions, where we speak to students about democracy, voting and why every vote counts. While we currently are unable to deliver these sessions in person, we are pleased to announce that we have shifted our delivery online!

One of our team would be more than happy to either pre-record a voiceover to accompany a PowerPoint presentation & learning activities which students can watch and complete in their own time, or present remotely to your students using a video conferencing platform such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

As always, our Passport to Democracy lesson plan resources remain available for download free of charge at http://passport.vec.vic.gov.au/ – these curriculum aligned resources are highly adaptable and we are happy to answer any questions you may have to ensure you feel confident using them to best suit your cohort of students.

Please contact us via email on education@vec.vic.gov.au to book a remote session, request a pre-recorded presentation or ask any questions you may have regarding the Passport to Democracy program.

We’d love to partner with your students, and with you, their committed teachers, to continue working towards a more engaged citizenry. Contact us by email on education@vec.vic.gov.au.
